Ecegül Bayram is a Turkish director and production designer. She graduated from New York University Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Film and Television and a minor in Politics. She’s also an alumni of Robert College of Istanbul.
Her first short film Aşrı/Distant, won the 1st Place Award at NYU’s New Visions and Voices Competition and the Best Student Film Award at Porto Femme International Film Festival. It was also an Official Selection in multiple festivals like NFFTY (National Film Festival for Talented Youth), Directed by Women: Turkey, Beirut International Women Film Festival.
She is a recipient of Niklas Kalborg Production Award founded by the Kalborg Family and NYU; and the Bülent Ecevit Development in Arts Award founded by Robert College of Istanbul. She has worked professionally on multiple short films, music videos and commercials in the United States, Greece and Spain.
